MAKE SOME NOISE IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST ONE DIRECTION GIG - HARRY STYLES

*Insert special fan girl screams*

Sunday was indeed my first One Direction concert, and it may not be my last.

After coming across a ticket to the sold out One Direction concert in DC, the day of the show was finally here, and I couldn't have been more excited. I have never seen One Direction perform live before, I have only had the chance to see them do television performances and of course music videos. I went to the concert with a open mind, and excited heart. Coming from an era of boy bands with choreographed dance moves, wardrobe changes and concert DVDs (here's to you N'sync and Backstreet Boys for showing my age.) I was excited to see what this new wave of boy group was going to bring to me, and their fans.

Disclaimer: I am 22 years old, the two girls I was sitting next to were 14, and the girls in front of me were 7, 9, and 12, with their mom who was well into her 30's.  WE ALL HAD AN AMAZING TIME!

I'm a sucker for a live show, and One Direction didn't disappoint. After kicking off the show with a floor level entrance and up beat performance of "Live While We're Young" the boys from across the pond had my attention for the remainder of their set.

Performing a catalog of various hits with songs from their latest album Take Me Home and their debut Up All Night the group was able to keep the attention of the sold out area, and crowd of over 20,000 occupants.

The screams of the crowd never died down from the moment Harry, Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Louis all took the stage, and the boys seemed to love every bit of it. With constant crowd interaction during and in between the songs, the boys even took a moment to answer fan submitted twitter questions, while in the middle of the crowd, taking the time to soak up all the of the love and support.

Some of my favorite moments came when the boys performed some of my favorite hits including "Kiss You" "Rock Me" "C'mon C'mon" "Last First Kiss" "Little Things" (during the performance the group floated to the middle of the audience during their "favorite song") "I Would" "Up All Night" and "One Thing"

Just when I thought it was over (without them performing "What Make's You Beautiful") a classic and my favorite One Direction song, the boys came back to the stage and closed the show with the hit that put them on the map. During which the crowd was louder than ever, Liam took off his hoodie, Harry changed into a shirt with no sleeves, and Louis fell attempting to show off his best soccer moves. After the last THAT'S WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL the crowd roared the boys left the stage, and the area full of screaming teen girls, myself, and the gracious parents who sat through an entire concert cleared out, and our amazing night with One Direction was over.
