Countdown to Pom Poms

"Its all about the choir." tweeted Nick Jonas. With the above image marking the 4 days until the premiere of the Jonas Brothers first single off of their first album in 3 years.

Each day one of the Jo Bros post a pic of a scene from the much anticipated "Pom Poms" video. So far we have seen images of Joe, a football field, and cheerleaders. How appropriate right?

I can't wait for the April 2nd premiere on E. Until then we will continue to countdown "Pom Poms." #PomPoms4

Vintage Celeb Moment: Johnny Depp on Letterman 1999

Video Credit: Youtube.com

It's no secret that I love movies, and Johnny Depp. Earlier this week Johnny Depp appeared on Letterman to talk about his new film The Lone Ranger. Well I managed to miss it (I've been super busy with work) after watching the clip via Youtube, this vintage video appeared in the video suggestions.

In the clip above Johnny appears on The Late Show to discuss his new film, Sleepy Hallow, his then 6 month old daughter, changing diapers, burping babies, and destroying hotel rooms!

Also Johnny takes the time to address his scuffle with the paps, which resulted in his arrest.

We love vintage celebs and Johnny Depp. Be sure to catch up with us as we talk about the Lone Ranger!

Blu Ivy has puff balls and little tims.

It's a treat when celebs allow the inter webs to gush over their babies. Beyonce allowed that to happen today when a photo surfaced today of her and Jay Z's beautiful baby girl.

1. I love coats, and I love the one Beyonce is sporting. (Fashion ladies help me out.)

2. Blu Ivy's is rocking the most adorable puff balls in her hair!

3. I love how this photo is so natrual.

PS. Did you happen to peep her baby tims? LOVE!

This is the true story of 7 strangers.

In celebration of the 28th installment of MTV's The Real World series starting Wednesday in Portland, the network decided to take a trip back in time this weekend and air 3 of the series most intriguing seasons, as part of their #RetroMTV weekend. As a result of working extra long hours this weekend, I decided to lay in bed and enjoy the trip through MTV's Real World time machine.

Retro MTV Real World weekend kicked off with the very first season in New York (which aired in 1992...I was only 2.) and ending Sunday evening with the infamous San Fransisco season. In between however the network played one of my all time favorite seasons. Season 12: Las Vegas. Although I was only in middle school when the series aired, I made sure I tuned in each week to catch up with those 7 strangers, who used the hot tube and tent in the living room for way more than their intended uses. (Pardon me for finally realizing what was really going on then.)
Alton, Irulan, Arissa, Trishelle, Steven, Frank and Brynn ranked some of televisions classic moments.

While season 12 was a classic, the one season that defined the culture of the show along with the time it was shot was the third season in San Fransisco. Mohamed, Judd, Rachael, Cory, Pam, Pedro and Puck, were the season that is still known as one of the series most pivotal. Dealing with classic roommate drama including a finger in the peanut butter and exit of a housemate (Puck was voted out of the house by cast mates) and roommate Pedro's batter with the AIDS virus.

Since both seasons of the series have aired, reality TV has become the staple of television and pop culture. The culture of the series has changed with the times resulting in more fights and roommate confrontations, I am excited to see what the new season and cast will bring. Be sure to catch Real World: Portland on Wednesday.

In the mean time, I will still continue to wish that in the next instalment of  #RetroMTV the networks plays Hawaii, Chicago, and New Orleans. ( Who can I write about this?)

Who was really in that red coat?

Photo Credit: Pretty Little Liars Facebook

My heart is still racing after watching tonight's spring finale of Pretty Little Liars. While a lot of questions were answered, there are a few I still need answers to. Preferably before the June premiere.  If you haven't watched tonight's episode, come back a little later...SPOILER ALERTS

1. Excuse me Jenna, why are you back? Also, why are you in cahoots with Paige's ex flame (Who flirts with everyone...except for Hanna?)

2. Where did Hanna take babysitting classes. (Malcolm's 7...What's he into...fast cars...fast girls?")

3. Aria, why is my heart breaking, like you are breaking up with me?

4. Who is "Pretty Eyes"?

5. Wait...Toby is ALIVE?

6. Spencer we understand that you are excited to see Toby, but don't you think you should ask questions first...and get frisky later?

7. Mona, how on earth have you been working for someone, when you don't know who they are?

8. Can we really trust Toby, Can we really trust Spencer?

Bonus question: Is anyone in love with the season one-esque Aria and Ezra moments? I can't be only me.

9. Does this mean the girls and Mona are going to be best friends?

10. Did you see Allie too?

WHO THE HELL IS IN THE TRUNK OF DETECTIVE WELDON'S CAR?

I guess we have to wait until June to find out.

The time has finally come. 20/20 Experience Day!

Happy 20/20 Experience day everyone!

As promised I was sure to pick up four copies of the album today.

Why would I do that you ask? Here is why.

Growing up I was always a JT fan. Posters lining my wall, recording TV appearances. A separate section for Justin Timberlake on my annual Christmas list. Blah blah blah...We can talk about that, but let me just cut to the chase.

Justified was released in Nov 2002. I had my 12th bday party and along with the copy I picked up. Three of my wonderful friends showed up with copies of the album for me. Leaving me with 4.

When Future/Sex?Lovesounds was released, My mom purchased a copy. I purchased my own copy, then opened the mail, and see two more copies from my father.

Long story short, Justin Timberlake Cd's happen to me in fours. No exception, today I picked up four copies. (2 from Best Buy and 2 from Target.) I have to thank my best friend for picking up the Target copies for me, then allowing me to come to her house on a "school night" to pick them up!

Last night at Justin's IheartRadio album release party he put a end to the rumors, stating that this is indeed only the first half of the experience...with no word on when the second part will be released. *saves money to purchase those*

Until then, I'll contiune to jam to part one!

1 day, The wait is almost over!

After a week of performances and comedy on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and streaming his album on itunes, the wait is almost over. Tomorrow marks the release of Justin Timberlake's much anticipated album The 20/20 Experience. With the release of the album comes a televised look at his Iheartradio album release party in Los Angeles hosted by non other than Ryan Seacrest.

There is no greater sense of nostalgia than the one that comes with waiting for a new Justin Timberlake album.

How many copies will you pick up...we are thinking four over here...too much? Didn't think so.

Time to slip on your dancing shoes!

Tonight is the night! ABC's hits series Dancing with the Stars returns. While last season did not catch my attention, I have much to look forward to with the new line up of stars competing for the infamous mirror ball trophy. Zendaya Gordon (Disney's Shake it Up) Andy Dick (Comedian) and Lisa Vanderpump (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) are the three contestants who are getting my votes.

Seeing the stars outside of their natural elements is always a plus, along with the judges reactions. I look forward to live performances and shocking eliminations too. Be sure to check back for weekly reactions, recaps, and elimination shockers. This season is sure to be a great one!

3 Days, 3 days...Strawberry Bubble Gum!

Still obsessed with Justin Timberlake, I have been on a roll with staying up past my bedtime to see his performaces on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in celebration of "Timberweek." Thursday night has to be my my favorite performace by far.

Justin took to the Fallon stage to perform one of the albums more mellow tunes, "Strawberry Bubble Gum." It was great to see him go into full dance mode while singing along to the tune (as I've been fearing he won't be doing much of due to his more dapper image.)

In case you missed the performace, you can click the link below and enjoy.

A cold goodbye to warm winter tv

While it warms my heart that spring is near, I am just as sad to be giving the seasonal send off to some of my favorite TV shows. Winter time has always been my favorite time for TV. Around that time all of the shows are mid season, and getting to some of the most important parts of the series. This season for the first time in a while, I had at least one hour long show to occupy my time everyday of the week. I know what your thinking, WHY SO MUCH TV?

But my question to you is...WHO KEEPS COMING UP WITH SUCH WONDERFUL SHOWS?

This season Monday and Wednesday nights occupied most of my time. In between live tweeting Love and Hip Hop New York, and Catfish, I could hardly find time to catch a breath in between the intense story lines that accompanied each show.

However Wednesday nights took the lead, starting with a hour of NBC comedy, then an hour of intense horror while watching this season's American Horror Story, then back to NBC where I spent my final hour of TV trying to help Detective Olivia Benson solve whichever case was plaguing her Special Victims Unit that night.

While I have my eye on some new series making their debut in the coming spring month, I don't think I am quite ready to let go of these shows I have grown close to. (Let's not mention Pretty Little Liars, and how lost my TV life would will be without them.)

Be sure to tune in next week for what is sure to be some amazing reactions to some great season finale's.

6 days and couting....

For 6 years I have been anxiously awaiting the release of this album. For 10 plus years, I have been Justin Timberlake's number 1 fan. Yes I know that Nsync made their debut in late 98. But I went through a brief period of time loving the Backstreet Boys, then finally adoring Nsync, having a brief love for Lance Bass, then JC Chasez (who is still a close second in my favorite Nsync member contest.) and finally...JUSTIN RANDALL TIMBERLAKE.

So 2000/2001 seems about right.

With the release of the 20/20 Experience brings excitement, and a bit of nostalgia to us all. I feel as though I am back in my TRL hay-day. Recording all of his television appearances (Thank God for dvr, because I am certain I have ran out of tapes.) Staying up past my bedtime to watch him on late night tv. ("Timberweek" on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has to be the best thing since sliced bread, offering fans some of Justin's amazing humor, and a performance of a new song each day.) Pre- ordering his new album (this time sans my mom's money...so I scored two.) and finally getting the chance to see him perform live.

So for the next 6 days, here on ThisISPOP, we will have our own celebration of the release of the 20/20 Experience. Enjoy trip down memory lane, recaps of our favorite tv moment this week, and finally the excitement that will follow the actual release of the album.

Be back soon, going to play the Itunes stream of the album for the 5th time. I have to know all of the words by the time the actual album is released right?
